Can I Get More For A Personal Injury Case If I Settle Before the End Of the Year?

The year-end holidays can impact the resolution of your personal injury claim. As with any other profession, many individuals that work within and for the court system take time off during the Christmas holidays. Certainly, most judges and other court personnel are not going to be at work on Christmas day and New Year's day. Of course, the courts are closed on those days. Many individuals also utilize this time of the year to take well-needed and well-deserved family vacation time. That would include course those that work within the insurance industry. There are a few days where mail is not delivered. All of this can add some time to the finalization of a personal injury settlement. I've never seen any empirical evidence or scientific studies, but I do believe, anecdotally, that one needs to add a few extra days around this time of the year if they are looking for settlement funds or paperwork to arrive in the mail.
