But the concept of graffiti has an interesting interplay with the malicious destruction statute. Graffiti may be something that you know it when you see but, but the law defines it as a permanent mark, painting or inscription on the property of another. Malicious destruction via graffiti carries mandatory restitution or community service, or both, in addition to other listed penalties.
